Salon Cut - ANOTHER THING ACCOMPLISHED - Check!

For years now all hair cutting has happened at home.  It hasn't been pretty either the process and the cut!  For the past 4 months we have done a lot of things to work up to a real hair cut.  Mommy promised no more electric clippers.  In exchange for his tolerating light trims around the ear and at the back.  We have been to Salon to watch big brother get his hair cut.  And we even had him sit in the special kid seat with a promise of no cutting - just trying the seat.  Today however was the day . . .  I told him that he needed a cut and that when he was done we would go to the toy store.  AND SO WE DID - AND HE DID IT!  We even waited our turn (drop in - no appointment) for 15 minutes.  BRILLIANT COINCIDENCE - Salon had a free roaming cat that was full of energy. Sorry no picture . . . honestly even if my camera had been working not sure that I would of taken a photo.  Tried to keep it as matter of fact as possible.  You need a cut, you get a cut, we go shopping.  It took all I had to sit in the waiting area and not even watch - I felt like if he saw me he that he would begin to interact with me and that the cutter would lose him.  She was so great - kept him talking and reminding him about the trip to the toy store that was next.
