Sorry my posting have been slim.

Sorry to my readers  . . . posting have been thin lately.  But not for lack of things to post, more a lack of time and to be honest seem to be in a transition period right now.  More on that soon.

Close call.

Cow got left behind on the bench at the play ground yesterday.  Thankfully he was still there when I raced down to the school last night. Phew that was close!

Don't Crwy.

On Friday our sitter brought her infant niece for the afternoon.  When she woke up crying Christopher said "Don't Crwy."  with concern for her.  Empathy. YEAH!

Bed time and eating.

Lately when I give Christopher his "Almost time for bed" warning, he almost always now signs and says "eat!".  Maybe a ploy to stay up a bit longer, but I am on to him, bed time warning is now earlier to accommodate this ploy.

Help me.

Christopher's expanding in his use of vocabulary.  What used to be just a request for "help" when he wanted something has turned into "help me."

Summer fun on the patio.

This summer Christopher will learn how to swim in the new backyard pool.  He was so excited.  Looks like I will be busy installing the gate on the back door this week.  Brother Hawk will enjoy this new backyard addition this summer too since breaking his clavicle means he can really do nothing that he enjoys.  Looking so forward to the family water fun.

Hydration

Hydration is key when sporting a temp.  Have to take a sneak attack approach to giving this little guy medicine.  Once we were done we were washing out the syringe in the sink and he thought it was fun squirting water from it.  I decided to turn that into a game and squirt it in his mouth.  This game went on for about 20 minutes in the sink.  He had fun and I felt better that he had more fluids since he hadn't wanted to eat or drink much this day.

Picture memory.

This week it has become more clear to me that Christopher has a great ability to recall anything that he has seen before.  One example, we drove past a place from an entirely different direction and he knew not only that it was his friend Sarah's house but also was upset when we didn't stop by.  Off to the grocery store we had to go. That turned out fun too because while there we saw our friend Hannah out of her normal context and he talked and talked to her even after she was down the next isle.  "what r oo doin?  why here? wit ome back! whur u go??"
