Cow Found!

Oh Happy Day! I just found our long lost friend "Cow" hiding under big brothers bed! Cow has been MIA since first weekend in October. Fortunately Christopher has been OK with replacement cow to this point. But Mommy is very happy to have found our first "Cow". honestly I think I have been more heart broken over his being lost.
BUT NOW HE IS BACK!

Pee Pee on the potty!

This morning I stripped Christopher down for a shower and he kinda motioned over to go towards toilet - I pushed him back to shower and realized "Wait do you need to go potty?"  He instantly went to to the potty and tried to climb on so I lifted him up and sat him down.  He pushed - tried and - WENT PEE PEE ON THE POTTY!  We did a little dance and then he showered.

Caught reading!

Happened that I had camera near bye when I spotted Christopher down below reading a Thomas book to him self.  When I joined him down stairs I was told to "have a seat".  So we sat on the kitchen step and went through the book 3 times before that moment was over.

Family Fall Photo Shoot

Taken in the back yard.  Taking turns to chase Christopher and to take photos.  Together Dan, Hawk and I managed to get a few good ones.

Notice at the top of blog to the left - our totem pole shots of all my boys.  That was last fall.  Now look here bottom left how much they've changed in one year!

New Kitty.

New Kitty. Came with the name Sly, Daniel has named Hobs since the dogs name is Calvin. And Christopher is still insisting it's a "Bunny".  Either name it is already fitting it quiet well.  He likes to hang out in the doll stroller.  And likes to be where ever the dog is.  This is great, I was afraid that would be an issue but the two are buddies.

Christopher continues to use more appropriate language skills.  This cat has really been a great interest for him.  He talks to it often.  They too have become buddies.  Why the cat hangs with Christopher I am not sure.  Christopher has hidden him in the entertainment center twice and pulls at him often.  Yet the cat keeps coming back for more and at any time could but doesn't run away.

However - since our room is the third floor there isn't really any door.  Just a stair case.  And that means he's in our room at night. I sleep through pretty much anything - but a cat biting my toes?  OUCH.  He kept Dan Sr up last night too.  Might have to draft up a new plan for the night time.

Our annual pumpkin carving.

Never the traditional pumpkin faces here.  Always the "B".  Gotten it down to a science now it only takes 1/2 start to finish.   May be this year the Bruins will . . . win?

Doesn't happen often.

So it doesn't happen often that the floor in the laundry room is so clear that I can actually vacuum so I just had to take a photo and share.  Seeing is believing.

Flash Back Photo - Fun Fall Memory

Flash back photo.  4 years ago we moved into town up on the mountain.  Dan dropped us off at the bottom then Daniel, Cousin/Niece Kaleigh and I hiked up the mountain and then to the house.  It took us a really long time, but the memory I have is of a great time.  Kaleigh was our marker look out guiding us along the way. What a difference 4 years makes.

So sweet.

The third grade class buddies up with the better start class on Thursday's to walk across the street to the town library.   Christopher's buddy we'll call "E" sent to school a special drawing that she drew just for him.  She clearly had a good experience. This is so completely sweet that she would take such time and care to color in an entire page with her artistic expression.

I think - and will have to check with her, that this picture is showing  Right to left: angel, "L" Christopher's one on one aid, "E" and Christopher.

Dressing up the dog.

I saw Christopher take my Mardis Gras Beads from the drawer.  It wasn't until about an hour later when I came upon the dog that I realized his evil plan for the beads.  What a good dog Calvin!

HOCKEY TIME AGAIN

Sitting on the bleachers during Hawks practice.
When we arrived at the rink he announced, "We're home!"
So true little buddy - from now till April! 2 nights a week and 1 to 2 games every weekend!
We are bringing lots of toys to keep occupied while we wait at the rink.

Here we are singing the clean up song and putting away all our toys.  Game over time to go home.

I need a little help back here!

Oops.  Guess the seat belt wasn't as tight as it could have been.  I was getting on the Highway when I heard "Oh, Oh, NEED HELP!"  Because I was merging onto a busy highway with little space in the break down lane all I could do was (snicker to myself) and reassure him that Mommy would fix it.

Me: " Hold on buddy, Mommy will fix it. You have to wait."
Him: Shaky voice "OK"
Me: "Please wait Mommy is going to go a little further then we will stop and fix it for you."
Him: "Oh, OK" Happy voice

A mile more and we were off at the next exit.  I first snapped this picture then fixed his seat.  Insert more snicker here.  :-)

Me: "All better, ready to go again?"
Him: "Thank you Mommy." In cuteness voice

Also notice - no way was he gonna let go of the coveted soda! Never spilled a drop.

It only takes a few minutes of being alone to wreck the joint!

UGH! A full box of Cornstarch!  EVERYWHERE!  He was so stealth in this action I had no idea this was going on.  Till I heard the familiar and never a good sign "Oh, Oh, need help?" LOL

Flu - Get Ready.

Christopher has had the nasal spray for the flu at his Dr Apt this past Aug.  And this weekend Hawk and I take it in the arm. Ouch! And soon there after Dan Sr will get his.  Recently saw this sight posted elsewhere so thought I'd share with you all.  Stock your shelves with your own personal cold/flu meds and comforts and this way no one has to see you standing in your pj's all stuffily at the pharmacy pleading with the pharmacist for how to make it go away.  Be prepared so you can keep your infectious self at home! Walks right in!

Yesterday was a great day.  Found $19 bucks in an old pair of jeans. Yummy steak and glass of wine for dinner. And drop off was a breeze!  When I brought Christopher in to school he march right on into the classroom, past the usual distractions, sand table, water table, lego table, and such.  Right straight into the classroom with all the other children in the morning circle.  Never looked back so I slipped right on out.  Way to go Christopher!
