What a proud Momma

About a week ago Christopher came home with mail.  It was a Birthday invite.  When I was opening it he exclaimed hey that is my mail.  What does it say?  When I told him it was an invite to Eric's Birthday he was so excited.  This week he sat a patiently let me cut his hair - knowing that the reward was to go toy shopping.  Once the quick trim was done around the ears and at the back of neck off we went.  When we shopped for his reward he also took this time to select a gift for his friend Eric.  This was a long and careful process.  We walked up and down the isles till finally landed on a new Transformer for both him (reward) and the same for friend Eric.  Today was party day!  Party was  at movie theater - to see The Lorax, so we preview the trailer online, about 4 times before he helped to wrap the gift and then we left.  On the way we talked about sitting in our seats for the movie.

He did great!  Gave up the present and wished his friend a Happy Birthday when we arrived.  Then we waited in line for our popcorn and soda before taking our seat.  He sat for the entire movie.  (This is a first for a theater movie).  He really got into the story - was impressed by the Lorax talking to him in the audience at the beginning, and continued to follow the back and forth past and present presentation of the story.  When the Onceler cut down the last tree all the forrest animals had to leave their home since all the trees were gone.  Christopher told me this was making him very sad and that he wanted to cry.  He had to wipe tears away.  Then at the end when the Onceler was watering the newly planted trees he laughed and yelled out.  "Yeah, you did it."

Yep - you and the Onceler did it buddy!  So proud.
